Tom Dunne

By the age of 19, Darlington born DJ & producer, Tom Dunne was holding down residencies at Newcastle’s most infamous underground venues as well as launching his own record label Right Angle Records.

Darlington born DJ, Producer, Label Owner & Promoter Tom Dunne is without doubt one of the most exciting up & coming talents from the North of England. When it comes to rave culture, there are few people Tom’s age who are as dedicated & passionate about the music & the party as he is.

His roots lie in 1990’s house music & later influenced by the much faster ‘Makina’ sound, a dominant sub-culture from North Millennium England. Tom’s output still holds true to many influences of his musical upbringing & that is transparent though his immersive sets & engaging productions.

Growing up, Tom’s parents were electronic music fans, early memories being exposed to the likes of A Guy Called Gerald – Voodoo Ray & Robert Miles – Children played a large part of sparking the musical obsession.

At 18, Tom was already cofounder of a reputable event, Boxed Darlington & resident at Cosmic Ballroom in Newcastle. Today at 24, Tom’s sets have seen him play at the likes of Digital, Fire, Gorilla, Source & Cosmic Ballroom to name a few. Here at these reputable institutions, Tom has supported some of the biggest names in the business across house & techno, including: Jamie Jones, Matthias Tanzamann, Kerri Chandler, Patrick Topping, Space Dimension Controller, Adam Shelton, the list goes on.

His own brand Right Angle Records have seen events in Darlington, Manchester & London as well as a yearly Garden Party attracting an ever-growing crowd to hear & experience Tom Dunne’s captivating routine in the booth.
